Samsung i900 Mobile Phone Samsung’s top of the line mobile phone, the i900 has just been launched by the company. Finally named Samsung i900 Omnia, it is based on Windows Mobile (version 6.1) and comes across as a competitor to the 3G iPhone which is rumored to be today. This means, it is also competing with the recently launched HTC Touch Diamond. The Samsung i900 Omnia has a 3.2 inch LCD that is capable of 240 x 400 resolution. There is also an optical mouse that is similar to the one in the Samsung i780.

On the camera front, it does not disappoint — a 5MP senor with auto focusing mechanism, face detection, smile detection and even auto-panorama bring it in line with the best of camera phones in the market today. It also adds Geotagging using a built-in GPS receiver.

The phone is just 12.5mm thick and this combined with a brushed metal back gives it a classy look that can be carried off pretty much anywhere. Like the iPhone, the Samsung i900 comes with 8GB and a 16GB storage versions. Besides there is also a microSD slot to expand storage capacity.
