Ever since I switched back to 32 bit of Windows 7 from 64 bit Windows Vista, I’ve been experiencing worms and viruses transmitted from removable disks and internet downloads.

It seems like 64 bit OS has stronger security enabled capacity in terms that it is hard for viruses and worms to get the system on their hands, but 32 bit OS seems lame, gets infected easily.

microsoft-security-essential-removing-newfolder.exe-virus If you are worried with a worm  which creates a NewFolder.exe and the name of the folder.exe files with application size around 222kilos, then you are infected by the worm – Worm:Win32/Nuqel.J and sometimes Win32/Sohanad.AQ.

You can remove this worm Nuqel.J. which is a program dangerous and self-propagates over a network connection.

Recommendation: Remove this software immediately.  Can be removed easily with a free antivirus apps from Microsoft – Microsoft Security Essential Alert.

Microsoft Security Essentials detected programs that may compromise your privacy or damage your computer. You can still access the files that these programs use without removing them (not recommended). To access these files, select the ‘Allow’ action and click ‘Apply actions’. If this option is not available, log on as administrator or ask the local administrator for help.

Examples of Worm removal:

file:G:\essesn\circuit diagram\circuit diagram.exe->[Encoded_AutoIt_Script] file:G:\essesn\final proposal\final proposal.exe->[Encoded_AutoIt_Script] filelocalcopy:C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Microsoft Antimalware\LocalCopy\{C4CC57A4-06F6-4318-BF61-5A9EC0A040A8}-circuit diagram.exe
filelocalcopy:\\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Microsoft Antimalware\LocalCopy\{C9C073C8-91C3-4A95-9564-031B24BF8CA7}-final proposal.exe

See this worm is creating a file application name same as that of the folder it is within.
