Why Nepal is always Nepal, the mentality of being a Nepalese.

I’m pressing (WordPressed) this article from Firstpost, Nadella as Microsoft CEO: A slap in the face for Indian system. After reading thru the article multiple times, it is no doubt that Indian system is a generic Indian Subcontinent system – with no exception to Nepal where the system is even worst than in India in many aspect.
So I borrowed some interesting facts or Lesson Learnt from Satya Nadella becoming Microsoft CEO and what Nepal is most likely like India. Why Nepal is always Nepal, the mentality of being a Nepalese and the mentality of living a Nepalese life (atleast I can’t call ourselves Indian, yet!)

  • Indian sub-continent’s system is designed to keep people out, not get in. If you don’t get selected for IIM, try Harvard. Salute.
  • Our system encourages talkers rather than doers. This is why we prefer autocratic rulers rather than democratic ones.
  • We are risk-avoiders rather than risk takers. This is why we prescribe endless paperwork and bureaucracy for simple things like opening a bank account or buying a mobile phone connection.
  • We are simply unable to tolerate success.
  • We celebrate mediocrity, rather than excellence.
